Yes, it is mandatory to complete all four modules of SPOM to be eligible for CA Final exams. You have to clear at least 50% marks in each module. ICAI has implemented this as a hard and fast rule from recent batches, so you should clear SPOM as the first priority before attempting CA Final.
The SPOM passing marks is 50% in each module. Each module is worth 100 marks, therefore, you must obtain a minimum of 50 marks out of 100 in each set to become CA Final eligible.
Every SPOM exam has 50 multiple choice questions with 2 marks each for a total of 100 marks. The duration of the exam is usually 3 hours. They are MCQs without negative marking, so it will be easier to attempt all the questions.
