What does CA Foundation mean?

CA Foundation is the entry-level course of the Chartered Accountancy program in India. At StudyByTech, we help students master this crucial first step through comprehensive coverage of all four subjects – Accounting, Business Laws, Business Mathematics & Statistics, and Business Economics.

Can I skip foundation in CA?

Although, CA Foundation is mandatory for all students starting their CA journey. However, if you’ve completed B.Com or similar graduate courses with minimum 55% marks, you can directly enroll for CA Intermediate. Feel free to connect with our counselors at StudyByTech to understand your eligibility for Direct Entry.

How many hours do CA students study?

At StudyByTech, we recommend 6-8 hours of focused daily study during the CA Foundation preparation including classes. However, we emphasize quality over quantity – our structured study material and Parag Sir’s teams’ proven teaching methods help students make the most of their study hours. We design our schedules to balance academics with necessary breaks, ensuring sustainable learning. However, with CA Inter & CA Final studies, 8-10 hours of consistent studies is required to get the best result.

Why CA Foundation pass percentage is low?

The CA Foundation pass percentage is low because the exam has a broad and challenging syllabus, strict evaluation and passing criteria set by ICAI, and no restrictions on the number of candidates appearing. Many students vary in preparation levels, and the exam often undergoes pattern changes. These factors ensure only well-prepared candidates succeed, maintaining the CA profession’s high standards.
